Job Description
The law firm Stikeman Elliott is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Lawyer-reviewer or Lawyer-reviser to join our Linguistic Services team. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work in a supportive and inclusive environment, and gain hands-on experience in a dynamic legal setting. We are looking for a candidate with a university degree in law and at least 5 years of relevant experience as a reviewer. Prior experience in a law or accounting firm would be an asset. The successful candidate will have a strong command of French and English, as well as excellent organizational and time management skills.

The main responsibility of this position is to revise legal, financial, and administrative documents from English to French. The incumbent will report directly to the Director of Linguistic Services and will be a member in good standing of the Barreau du Québec. Key Responsibilities:
Revise a variety of legal, financial, and administrative documents from English to French; Collaborate with other members of the Linguistic Services team to ensure consistency and accuracy in translations; Meet tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously; Ensure all documents adhere to the firm's style guide and language standards; Conduct research and stay up-to-date on legal terminology and language usage; Provide feedback and recommendations for improvement on translated documents; Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all work.
Qualifications:
University degree in law; Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience as a reviewer; Experience within a legal or accounting firm (an asset); Member in good standing of the Quebec Bar; Impeccable command of French and English (oral and written) taking into account the clientele, mandates and international influence of the firm; Strong organizational and time management abilities; Self-reliance and good priority management; Strong organizational skills; Team spirit; Attention to detail and superior intellectual curiosity.
